We are passionate about attracting, supporting and retaining a diverse workforce to serve our diverse client base.
We recognise that as well as being the right thing to do, we really benefit as a business from employing skilled and motivated people, wherever they are from and whatever their background.
We are committed to fairness and, in particular, the promotion of equality of opportunity. In practice this means that our appointment, promotion, training and performance management decisions are always based on merit. We recognise how people with different experiences, ideas, views and approaches enrich our business and help us create a workforce that can better serve our clients and their needs.
We are proud to be part of the industry-wide commitment across the financial services sector to diversity which was recently summarised by the CEO of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) –https://www.fca.org.uk/news/speeches/importance-diversity.
We are taking steps to showcase the wide range of opportunities available to people who may not have previously considered a career in financial services. We want them to see how they can be part of an industry that is innovating in smart technologies, delivering more for clients and offering attractive prospects for talented and motivated individuals.
We are making progress, but there is more to do. We have a clear focus on our diverse talent pipeline including developing client-centric talent in-house through our Perspective Training Academy. These actions ensure we are focused on building a more diverse workplace with greater inclusion for all.
