Previous to becoming a financial planner Garnet was an entrepreneur and business owner with a small chain of independent health shops and two other retail businesses. Garnet also served in private practice as a Homoeopathic and Naturopathic Doctor for eight years, after graduating with a Masters degree in Homoeopathy. After a career change Garnet now has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services sector.
As a fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Chartered financial planner, Garnet provides professional holistic financial advice that helps his clients simplify their financial affairs. He prides himself on offering the guidance and support his clients reach their financial goals.
Garnet enjoys the many aspects of his role but finds it greatly rewarding maintaining a lasting relationship with his clients and creating a bond grounded on mutual understanding and respect.
Outside of work, Garnet enjoys keeping fit and contributing to local charitable organisations such as the Rotary Club and Masonic Charities doing fund raising challenges including, Tough Mudder, Spartan Race’s and Extreme Underground Adventures.
Garnet loves days out in the country, whether that be walking, playing golf but especially shooting being an avid Clay pigeon enthusiast enjoying field sports and simulated game days.
He has a strong interest in martial arts and has spent nearly four decades of his life doing it with Taekwon-Do being his principal discipline achieving the rank of Sixth Dan/Degree and is an International Instructor and Tournament Umpire. Throughout the years Garnet has embarked on numerous global adventures representing his nation in four world championships. He has an ambition to inspire upcoming martial artists and to guide them in understanding how this discipline can fuel success in their everyday lives.
